About Peter Goris

Peter is a very driven IKMW team member and specializes in ISO and Quality events. During his professional career he studied this subject extensively. He not only possesses the theoretical knowledge for setting up quality systems and obtaining ISO certificates, but can and has already implemented / proven their implementation many times in practice.

Peter graduated in 1990 as a Bachelor in Chemistry specialization Biochemistry at HORITO in Turnhout.

In 1997 he graduated as a Quality Engineer at CKZ Antwerp (Center for Quality Assurance). Training courses such as internal auditor, result-oriented management (Balanced Scorecard, KPIs, etc.), HACCP, BRC/IoP, ISO 22716 were also successfully followed at Amelior, SGS, Det Norske Veritas, Lloyds’s Register.

In 2000 he obtained the post-graduate diploma of Prevention Adviser level 2 at the Katholieke Universiteit in Leuven and in 2009 this from Environmental Coordinator B at Syntra Hasselt.

I started my career in 1991 as a bacteriological laboratory technician at Campina Melkunie in the Netherlands. After a short visit as an inspector at SGS in Antwerp, I became Quality Assurance Manager at Grafityp Selfadhesive Products in 1993. SPC, internal auditing of the QMS and management of the QA/QC and Research Department were some of my responsibilities.

In the period 2000-2010, I combined the functions Quality Manager, Prevention Adviser and Environmental Coordinator for the packaging holding Tillion SST. Setting up, implementing and maintaining the Quality, Environmental and Food Safety Management Systems cf. ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and BRC/IoP as well as auditing, conducting complaint analyzes, proficiency checks and periodic performance assessments were core tasks of the quality domain.

From 2011, I was active on a project basis as Quality Manager at various companies in the packaging, construction and cosmetics industries.
